The UFC is in Moscow this weekend for Fight Night 136, where heavyweights Mark Hunt and Aleksei Oleinik both made weight for the main event.
Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.
ALEXEY KUNCHENKO (18-0-0) VS. THIAGO ALVES (22-12-0)
Andrews: Kunchenko has done well in M-1 and is making his UFC debut at 34 years old. Alves is a veteran and obviously has the experience advantage. I usually go with experience but I have a strong feeling Kunchenko is going to make an impressive statement in front of his home crowd.
Andrews Prediction: Alexey Kunchenko via TKO
#12 ANDREI ARLOVSKI (27-16-0, 1NC) VS. #14 SHAMIL ABDURAKHIMOV (18-4-0)
Andrews: It’s a tossup as one shot can end the fight for both guys. Arlovski showed some good wrestling a couple of fights ago and has the striking advantage, but Shamil should still have the advantage if the fight goes to the ground.
Andrews Prediction: Shamil Abdurakhimov via TKO
#4 JAN BLACHOWICZ (21-7-0) VS. NIKITA KRYLOV (24-5-0)
Andrews: I like the way Krylov fights but the thing is Blachowicz is fighting smart as of late, with standup improvements. Have to go with Poland’s power.
Andrews Prediction: Jan Blachowicz via UD
#12 MARK HUNT (13-12-1, 1NC) VS. ALEXEI OLEINIK (56-11-1)
Andrews: Aleksei is a tough guy with a good ground game, but is older and Hunt still has the knockout power and is good on the ground too.
Andrews Prediction: Mark Hunt via TKO
