UFC and Eleven Sports announce U.K. broadcast deal

The UFC announced on Sept. 27 a multi-year deal with British online live sports provider Eleven Sports to deliver UFC Fight Night programming for the U.K. and Ireland.

Starting in January 2019, fans in the U.K. and Ireland can watch all 42 live UFC Fight Night events as well as over 150 hours of orginal and archived content on Eleven Sports. The live events will be available on demand after the event is over.

“UFC has become a massive brand which has built a hugely dedicated and engaged following over 25 years, making it a perfect fit for our fan centric strategy,” said Eleven Sports group managing director Danny Menken. “We are a big supporter of combat sports across our global markets and the fresh and innovative approach that we have taken with our properties has been very successful. We are looking forward to creating the same added value for the legions of MMA fans in the U.K. and Ireland.”

Eleven Sports delivers more than 30,000 hours of live sports across Europe to over 17 million customers according to the company website. It also currently offers many of the top soccer leagues including LaLiga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), Eredivisie (Netherlands), Chinese Super League, and Allsvenskan (Sweden). A monthly pass is currently £5.99, with a yearly pass costing £59.99.
