The UFC confirmed Wednesday that female flyweights No. 3 Katlyn Chookagian (11-1-0) and No. 9 Jessica Eye (13-6-0, 1NC) will meet at UFC Toronto (UFC 231) in December.
Chookagian, 29, is on a three fight win streak, all decision victories. Her only blemish is a split-decision loss to Liz Carmouche.
Meanwhile, Eye was previously a bantamweight and struggled with injuries en route to a 1-5-0 at 135 pounds. However, since dropping down to 125 pounds in January, she has two decision wins under her belt.
The division just needs a little bit more time to work itself out. I Don’t care what my ranking is if I’m winning fights then I am number one in my mind. https://t.co/0ubxqzZny1
