Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.
ALEX GARCIA (15-4-0) VS. COURT MCGEE (19-6-1)
Andrews: I like Garcia’s versatility in this matchup. He’s fast and can put you away striking or not he ground. His gas tank is his only problem. McGee is a grinder who keeps the pressure on his opponent. It’s a question of who can enforce their game plan. I think Garcia overcomes the pressure of McGee.
Andrews Prediction: Alex Garcia via TKO
GIAN VILLANTE (16-10-0) VS. ED HERMAN (24-13-0, 1NC)
Andrews: Both guys need a win. I like Villante to get back on track after some early trouble from Herman.
Andrews Prediction: Gian Villante via TKO
ANDRE SOUKHAMTHATH (12-6-0) VS. JONATHAN MARTINEZ (9-1-0)
Andrews: Martinez is making his debut and this is the perfect opportunity for Soukhamthath to atone for his last fight. The experience of Andre should help him do just that.
Andrews Prediction: Andre Soukhamthath via UD
#11 MISHA CIRKUNOV (13-4-0) VS. #14 PATRICK CUMMINS (10-4-0)
Andrews: Cirkunov will overcome the wrestling of Cummins, get the fight to the ground, and then lock in the submission.
Andrews Prediction: Misha Cirkunov via submission
MICHAEL JOHNSON (19-12-0) VS. Artem Lobov (14-14-1, 1NC)
Andrews: Both men are tough, but Johnson missed weight and will have a slight advantage being the bigger guy. I expect Johnson to outsmart Lobov and escape with the win.
Andrews Prediction: Michael Johnson via SD
#2 VOLKAN OEZDEMIR (15-2-0) VS. #10 ANTHONY SMITH (30-13-0)
Andrews: Oezdemir will have some early trouble figuring out the striking of Smith. But he will eventually get Smith off his feet with a counterstrike to dash the hopes of “Lionheart.”
Andrews Prediction: Volkan Oezdemir via TKO
