ONE Championship announced yesterday in a press release the signing of Demetrious Johnson (27-3-1) to its roster.
The signing is part of a reported trade between the UFC and ONE, who is expected to announce the signing of ONE welterweight champion Ben Askren (18-0-0, 1NC) shortly.

Johnson is participating in a media conference call tonight to discuss his new home.
“Mighty Mouse,” 32, is the inaugural UFC flyweight champion, winning it in 2012 at UFC 152 in Toronto. He defended it a UFC record 11 times before losing it this summer to Henry Cejudo at UFC 227 in August. His trainer Matt Hume, is a ONE vice-president, and reportedly played an instrumental role in the trade.
