UFC FIGHT PASS PRELIMS (6:15PM ET/3:15PM PT)
ADAM WIECZOREK (10-1-0) VS. MARCOS ROGERIO DE LIMA (15-6-1)
Andrews: Rogerio de Lima has the power advantage despite being the smaller fighter, but I like the octagon smarts of Wieczorek. If he can avoid the big shot, he will take the fight to the ground and get the tap.
Andrews Prediction: Adam Wieczorek via submission
BRIAN KELLEHER (19-9-0) VS. MONTEL JACKSON (6-1-0)
Andrews: Kelleher has faced tougher competition and although he is the smaller fighter, he will grind out the decision.
Andrews Prediction: Brian Kelleher via UD
SHANE BURGOS (10-1-0) VS. KURT HOLOBAUGH (17-5-0, 1NC)
Andrews: Both guys need a win and don’t mind taking the fight to the ground to get it. I’m going with Burgos to survive some early troubles to eke out the decision.
MATT FREVOLA (6-0-0) VS. LANDO VANETTA (9-3-1)
Andrews: Can the dynamic Vanetta keep the fight standing tp use those flashy strikes? Frevola will try to ground him, but Vanetta needs a win badly and should have the determination to get it.
Andrews Prediction: Lando Vanetta via UD
TSN 3 PRELIMS (8PM ET/5PM PT)
LYMAN GOOD (19-4-0, 1NC) VS. BEN SAUNDERS (22-10-2)
Andrews: I expect Good to use his youth and quickness to outstrike Saunders. Saunders will use his experience to get the fight to the ground and work a submission. Good looked good at the weigh-ins and that convinced me that he will get it.
Andrews Prediction: Lyman Good via TKO
JULIO ARCE (15-2-0) VS. SHEYMON MORAES (10-1-0)
Andrews: I liked the confidence of Moraes at the weigh-ins, but Arce will grind this one out.
Andrews Prediction: Julio Arce via UD
#4 SIJARA EUBANKS (4-2-0) VS. #7 ROXANNE MODAFFERI (22-15-0)
Andrews: Eubanks missed weight again! This cost her the title shot in the first place and now she is fighting her TUF replacement. nonetheless, her wrestling will nullify the striking of Modaferri.
Andrews Prediction: Sijara Eubanks via UD
JASON KNIGHT (20-5-0) VS. JORDAN RINALDI (13-6-0)
Andrews: Knight needs a win badly and you can’t blame him for an emotional weigh-in. Rinaldi looked cool and calm and if he can weather the early storm, I think he capitalizes on Knight’s separation and gets the win.
Andrews Prediction: Jordan Rinaldi via UD
MAIN CARD (10PM ET/7PM PT)
#6 DEREK BRUNSON (18-6-0) VS. #9 ISRAEL ADESANYA (14-0-0)
Andrews: Brunson is a quality veteran who has power and wrestling to back it up. He just needs to temper his aggressiveness, which will be hard against a guy who has pushed his buttons in Adesanya. This is Adesanya’s toughest opponent yet, but he gets it done yet again.
Andrews Prediction: Israel Adesanya via UD
KARL ROBERSON (6-1-0) VS. JACK MARSHMAN (22-7-0)
Andrews: Tough one to call. Marshman has the experience factor, and Roberson is the fresh DWCS alum. I like Roberson to score the upset here.
Andrews Prediction: Karl Roberson via TKO
#7 DAVID BRANCH (21-4-0) VS. JARED CANNONIER (10-4-0)
Andrews: Cannonier has lost three of his last four and needs a win, but Branch is a tough opponent who has lost only to the top of the division. Branch should be able to get the decision, even with a determined Cannonier.
Andrews Prediction: David Branch via UD
#3 CHRIS WEIDMAN (14-3-0) VS. #5 RONALDO SOUZA (25-6-0, 1NC)
Andrews: Weidman’s wrestling should nullify Souza’s BJJ and take the starch out “Jacare.” Weidman ‘s striking is better too. All he has to do is avoid the ground and the big strike, easy to say, but harder to do. But factor his motivation for regaining the belt, and being the hometown hero, and it should add up to a big win for the All-American.
Andrews Prediction: Chris Weidman via UD
DANIEL CORMIER (21-1-0, 1NC) VS. #2 DERRICK LEWIS (21-5-0, 1NC)
Andrews: The miracle run of Lewis will come to an end here. What Cormier lacks in size, he makes up in ferocity, smarts and skills. Lewis needs another home run, but he will strike out and for five rounds, he will tire too.
Andrews Prediction: Daniel Cormier via TKO
