UFC on ESPN+: Thomas Almeida vs. Cory Sandhagen added

UFC No. 13 bantamweight Thomas Almeida (21-3-0) will attempt to shake off a two-fight losing streak against the streaking Cory Sandhagen (9-1-0) at Brooklyn’s UFC on ESPN+ in January 2019.

Almeida, 27, last fought last January at UFC 220, losing via TKO to Rob Font. Another loss could put him on the bubble, although his exciting style will probably buy him some additional time on the UFC roster.

Meanwhile, Sandhagen, is riding a four fight win streak, including a TKO win of Luri Alcantara at UFC Fight Night 135 in August.

UFC on ESPN+ is scheduled for Jan. 19 at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The card includes:

Henry Cejudo (13-2-0) vs. T.J. Dillashaw (16-3-0)

Rachel Ostovich (4-4-0) vs. Paige VanZant (7-4-0)

Geoff Neal (10-2-0) vs. Belal Muhammad (14-2-0)

Ion Cutelaba (14-3-0) vs. Glover Teixeira (27-7-0)

Alonzo Menifield (7-0-0) vs. Vinicius Moeira (9-1-0)

Randy Brown (10-3-0) vs. Chance Recountre (12-3-0)

Joanne Calderwood (12-3-0) vs. Ariane Lipski (11-3-0)

Allen Crowder (9-3-0) vs. Greg Hardy (3-0-0)

Donald Cerrone (34-11-0, 1NC) vs. Alexander Hernandez (10-1-0)

Thomas Almeida (21-3-0) vs. Cory Sandhagen (9-1-0)
