UFC on ESPN+ 4: Lewis vs. Dos Santos predictions

The UFC is in the state of Kansas this weekend where heavyweight contenders No. 3 Derrick Lewis and former champion Junior dos Santos square off in the main event.

Lewis is coming off a one-sided loss to champion Daniel Cormier in his last fight at UFC 230, while dos Santos subdued Tai Tuivasa at UFC Adelaide last December. Both fighters are on the shorter end of their careers and are trying to make the big run to the title.

Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.

MAIN CARD (8PM ET/5PM PT)

TIM BOESTCH (21-12-0) VS. OMAR AKHMEDOV (17-4-1)

Andrews: Boetsch is trying to rebound from a recent skid. “The Barbarian” is long in the tooth and unless he catches Omar with a good shot is probably gong to get put in the grinder by Omar.

Andrews Prediction: Omar Akhmedov via UD

BENEIL DARIUSH (15-4-1) VS. DREW DOBER (20-8-1)

Andrews: I like Beneil and he bounced back in his last fight, but I think Dober gets him here with a decision.

Andrews Prediction: Drew Dober via UD

#15 BLAGOY IVANOV (16-2-0, 1NC) VS. BEN ROTHWELL (36-10-0)

Andrews: Rothwell had a good run but is coming back from a two-year suspension. If he is close to his previous form, he should be able to decision Ivanov if he doesn’t finish him.

Andrews Prediction: Ben Rothwell via TKO

TIM MEANS (28-10-1, 1NC) VS. NIKO PRICE (15-2-0, 1NC)

Andrews: Means is busier and as long as he avoids the big shot, should be able to land his before getting taken down.

Andrews Prediction: Tim Means via TKO

#14 ELIZEU DOS SANTOS (20-5-0) VS. CURTIS MILLENDER (17-3-0)

Andrews: Dos Santos is a tough customer but I think Millender guts this one out narrowly.

Andrews Prediction: Curtis Millender via UD

MAIN EVENT

#3 DERRICK LEWIS (20-6-0, 1NC) VS. #8 JUNIOR DOS SANTOS (21-6-0)

Andrews: If Lewis connects, it could be over but JDS footwork, gas tank and power give him more opportunities.

Andrews Prediction: Junior dos Santos via TKO
