UFC 238: Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes to battle for vacant bantamweight crown

UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo (14-2-0) will take on No.1 135-pound contender Marlon Moraes (22-5-1) for the vacant  bantamweight title at UFC 238 in June.

The UFC announced the bout yesterday.

Last, Wednesday, Dillashaw revealed he was relinquishing the belt after the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced an “adverse finding” in his drug test for his UFC on ESPN+ 1 bout against Cejudo, which he lost by first round TKO.

Meanwhile, Cejudo will now have the chance to join Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier, and Amanda Nunes as the company’s only dual champions.

Moraes, 30, is riding a four fight win streak, including an impressive submission win over Raphael Assuncao in his last fight at UFC on ESPN+ 2 in February.

UFC 238 is scheduled for June 8 at the United Center in Chicago. Scheduled bouts include:

Henry Cejudo (14-2-0) vs. Marlon Moraes (22-5-1)

Valentina Shevchenko (16-3-0) vs. Jessica Eye (14-6-0)

Tai Tuivasa (8-1-0) vs. Blagoy Ivanov (17-2-0)

Joanne Calderwood (13-3-0) vs. Katlyn Chookagian (11-2-0)

Felice Herrig (14-8-0) vs. Xiaonan Yan (10-1-0)

More bouts are expected to be announced.
