We The North appreciates Max's shoutout

UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway (20-4-0) made sure to congratulate the Toronto Raptors, who defeated the Golden State Warriors Thursday evening in six games to win the NBA title.

Holloway, who hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, has a unique appreciation for the city of Toronto and Canada, having fought in Toronto last December at UFC 231, defeating Brian Ortega. He predicted on Twitter that the Raptors would prevail.

Holloway is scheduled to defend his belt against Frankie Edgar (23-6-1) at Edmonton, Alberta’s UFC 240 July 27.

The UFC also took the time acknowledge the Raptors on their Twitter account.
