Canadian Misha Cirkunov (14-5-0) will attempt to return to the win column at Vancouver’s UFC on ESPN+ 16 show against Australian DWCS alum Jim Crute (10-0-0) in September.
Cirkunov, 32, has been finished in three of his last four bouts, including the streaking Johnny Walker in his last bout at UFC 235 in March. A big win against Crute would likely take him much further away from the light heavyweight bubble.
Meanwhile, Crute, 23, keeps chugging along. He scored a first round TKO over Sam Alvey at UFC 234 in February. He’s also looking forward to taking on Chris Weidman should he enter the division.
You already know I'll be keen to welcome him to LHW. Got some business to handle first but if it all goes to plan I'll be down for an October turn around 🤷♂️ https://t.co/3CcV5kMIAi
