Amanda Cooper signs with Invicta FC

"Can't wait to get back in the cage"

Former UFC strawweight Amanda Cooper (3-5-0) has signed with female MMA promotion Invicta FC.

Cooper, 27, lost a split-decision to Ashley Yoder in her last bout at UFC Fight Night 139, which brought her record inside the octagon to 2-3-0. The UFC subsequently declined to resign her. She is the TUF 23 runner-up, losing to Tatiana Suarez in the finals.

“ABC,” told MMAJunkie that she plans to fight Jamie Milanowski (3-3-0) at Lights Out Championship 5, in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Sept. 7, before competing in the Invicta’s flyweight tournament called Phoenix Rising 2, also in September.

Invicta FC currently has not officially confirmed Cooper’s signing, but has retweeted reports of it on Twitter.
