UFC on ESPN+ 14: Shevchenko vs. Carmouche 2 predictions

Can the Girl-Rilla dodge the Bullet in Uruguay?

The UFC is in Montevideo this weekend for UFC on ESPN+ 14 as flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (17-3-0) tries to defend her title for the second time against former marine Liz Carmouche (13-6-0).

Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.

MAIN CARD (8PM ET/5PM PT)

ENRIQUE BARZOLA (15-4-1) VS. BOBBY MOFFETT (14-4-0)

Andrews: Both guys are solid. Moffett likes to get the fight to the ground for the tap, but I think Barazola stifles him enough with striking to get the points after three rounds.

Andrews Prediction: Enrique Barzola via UD

RODOLFO VIEIRA (5-0-0) VS. OSKAR PIECHOTA (11-1-1)

Andrews: Vieira is making his octagon debut. Piechota has the experience advantage and he should be ready to get this one after getting finished by Gerald in his last fight.

Andrews Prediction: Oskar Piechota via TKO

ILIR LATIFI (14-6-0, 1NC) VS. VOLKAN OEZDEMIR (15-4-0)

Andrews:  Oezdemir will be desperate as he needs a win badly. But Latifi should be able to use his wrestling to ground Oezdemir and grind out a decision.

Andrews Prediction: Ilir Latifi via UD

HUMBERTO BANDENAY (14-6-0, 1NC) VS. LUIZ EDUARDO GARAGORRI (12-0-0)

Andrews: Luiz is making his debut with a nice record. Bandenay’s experience advantage should be enough to get the decision, just don’t underestimate Luiz.

Andrews Prediction: Humberto Bandenay via UD

VICENTE LUQUE (16-6-1) VS. MIKE PERRY (13-4-0)

Andrews: Perry has cleaned up his striking but is it enough against Luque? It’s a tossup. Going with Luque to emerge from the dust.

Andrews Prediction: Vicente Luque via TKO

MAIN EVENT

VALENTINA SHEVCHENKO (17-3-0) VS. LIZ CARMOUCHE (13-6-0)

Andrews: Carmouche is always a tough out, but the striking of Shevchenko should hive her fits. Even if it goes to the ground, Valentina can grapple too.

Andrews Prediction: Valentina Shevchenko via submission
