The UFC confirmed during the UFC on ESPN+ 17 broadcast that featherweight champion Max Holloway (21-4-0) will defend his belt against No. 1 contender Alexander Volkanovski (20-1-0) at UFC 245 in Las Vegas.
Holloway, 27, is coming off a successful third defence with a decision win over Frankie Edgar at UFC 240 in July. Aside from an unsuccessful attempt to capture the interim lightweight belt, he was won 14 of his last 15 bouts. Life is good right now for ‘Blessed.’
