Former WEC bantamweight champion Urijah Faber (35-10-0) fresh off his first win in the octagon in almost three years, will return to the cage against the upcoming Petr Yan (13-1-0) at December’s UFC 245.
Faber was the unquestioned bantamweight king in an era when the UFC did not have a bantamweight division. Then came the contention for the UFC crown at featherweight and bantamweight. Now, at 40 years old, “The California Kid,” will take on a youngster who dominated Jimmie Rivera, who “retired” Faber just over three years ago.
Yan, 26, is on a eight fight win streak including a dominant win over Rivera in his last bout at UFC 238. He has run through most of his opponents, but even at 40 years old, Faber will be his toughest challenge yet.
California grown man deserves the good paycheck for the beating I will put on him https://t.co/KA3SCO37Wd
