Members of the Atlantic City Xclusive drill team got some inspiration from @halleberry today when she spoke with them in Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall between shooting scenes for “Bruised” a movie she’s both starring in and directing. @ThePressofAC pic.twitter.com/47RNyewC0D

Fight fans also know Berry as a regular presence at MMA events and a big supporter of Cris Cyborg. She has been working with UFC featherweight Brian Ortega for the movie.
The film in some ways is symbolic of Berry’s own personal and professional journey. Berry was the first African-American woman to win the lead Oscar for her role in the 2001 film Monster’s Ball. She also won an Emmy and Golden Globe award in 1999 for Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.
