Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, wagering company MyBookie is stepping in with an interesting Saturday night proposition for fight fans.
Dubbed UFC $49: Risk Free Saturday, the event will feature a night of 22 computer-simulated fights, featuring former strawweight champions Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade using the popular game UFC 3.
Other bouts on the simulation card include Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson, Kimbo Slice vs. Junior dos Santos, and Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano.
The company is offering fans a “risk-free” wagering deal.
“We’re noticing a community building around our UFC 3 simulations, along with Madden and NBA2K,” head oddsmaker David Strauss said in a press release. “A group of like-minded gamblers passing the time, talking trash and having some laughs. With that in mind we put together the fight card that MMA fans wish could happen.”
“We’re so confident you’ll have a good time, we’ll let you place your bet without any risk.”
Namajunas and Andrade, who originally met at UFC 237, were supposed to meet in a rematch at the now-shuttered UFC 249.
UFC welterweight Colby Covington will be on his Instagram and in the MyBookie Twitch chat during his “fight” against Jorge Masvidal, scheduled at 9:20 ET Saturday.
The entire lineup and odds can be viewed here.
UFC $49 starts at 8 pm. ET, with the Namajunas-Andrade “bout” scheduled for 10:05 p.m. ET.
