Neil Magny (23-7-0) has a new opponent at UFC on ESPN+ 33 Aug. 29 and he is a former welterweight champion.
Robbie Lawler (28-14-0, 1NC) will replace Geoff Neal, who had to pull out because of a health scare.
Neal was hospitalized for a week, hooked up to a dialysis machine, saying he “almost died.”
The 38-year-old Lawler (28-14-0, 1NC) has lost four of his last five bouts. He won the belt in 2015, defeating Johny Hendricks.
The UFC has not yet confirmed the replacement, but Magny has retweeted various reports of the replacement on his Twitter account.
