The UFC confirmed during the UFC 252 broadcast the their Oct. 3 event now has a women’s bantamweight main event.
Holly Holm (13-5-0) and Irene Aldana (12-5-0) will finally meet after originally being scheduled for Aug. 1. The venue has not been confirmed, but it is expected to take place at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi’s Yas lsland.
Holm, 38, has won two of her last three contests, decisioning Raquel Pennington in her last contest at UFC 246 in January. The former bantamweight champion sits No. 2 in the rankings.

Meanwhile, Aldana, 32, has also won two of her last three bouts. Ranked No. 5, her last fight was a knockout win over Ketlen Vieira at UFC 245 last December.
UFC on ESPN+ 37 is scheduled for Oct. 3. Current bouts include:
