Cage Warriors 114: Jake Hadley makes his debut against Shajidul Haque in Manchester

"I am pumped to return to competition and climb the world flyweight rankings"

Jake Hadley’s journey to the Cage Warriors flyweight title begins in Manchester this October at CW114 against Shajidul Haque.

Hadley, who previously competed in Bellator and is a former ECF champion undefeated in five contests, signed with Cage Warriors earlier this year. He will look to work his way into the rankings with an impressive showing.

“I am pumped to return to competition and climb the world flyweight rankings,” Hadley said in a press release. Thank you to Cage Warriors for returning to action in my home country, and thank you to Dave Fish and my team at Paradigm Sports; I can’t wait to continue this journey and achieve my goal of being Cage Warriors champion and UFC champion after that.”

Haque (10-4-0), 29, has split his last four contests, but probably realizes defeating Hadley is an excellent chance to jumpstart his career.

I know it, you know, everyone knows it. I am the flyweight CW champ (Unofficially), I go into this fight not defending a belt, but defending my title. Daft politics has held me back 5 years now. 2015 I should have had my first opportunity, I had only beaten Mark Connor, Martin Mcdonough, Damien Rooney and Ronnie Mann back to back. 2016 my fight vs Sam (then no1 & 2) should have been a title fight. 2019 Sam should have rematched me for the belt but Samir gets his CW debut for a world title. If there was footage of my win vs Sam, you would all see why I should have been champion years ago, it was not a fluke win after losing 2 rounds. No other flyweight has as many big wins on their record! Samir and Luke are great fighters but me vs Jake is the biggest Flyweight fight on that card, hes coming off 2 big wins he deserves his shot against me. The winner of Luke and Samir can add the 'title' to their belt after they face me. And @cagewarriors dont be calling me a verteran yet, Im not that old lol im still a prospect and I will show you! Lets do this!! 👊 Shoutout to Sponsors @northerngasandpowerltd for covering my medicals #unofficialtitle #stillyoung #motivated #no1flyweight #CW114 #flyweight #worldchampion #ufc #superman #speed
