Alesha Zappitella (8-2-0, 1NC)Â is now a champion after a historic performance at Invicta FC 42 Thursday night.
“Half-Pint,” 25, secured a fourth-round 1:20 submission finish of Ashley Cummins (7-6-0) in the main event, making history by securing the first Von Flue choke the company’s history.
Cummins came out strong in the early rounds, backing up Zappitella with strikes before the tide turned in the third round to the ground.
With the win, Zappitella remains unbeaten in three fights at Invicta, while Cummins has now lost two straight contests.
