Portugese light welterweight champion Antonio Faria recovered from a vicious first round knockdown to stop Spanish challenger Francisco Vinuelas at WLC: Lethwei Showcase Thursday night.
WLC: Lethwei Showcase was live-streamed on UFC Fight Pass and Canal+ and other partners across 70 countries Thursday night.
An overhead right from Vinuelas floored Faria in the first round and the champion was saved by the bell. But then he recovered in the second round to wear down Vinuelas with elbows in the clinch. The challenger was unable to answer the fourth round bell, producing Faria’s fourth finish in as many fights.
