Souris Manfredi confirms on The Wiseman Report her next fight will be against Petchjeeja Lukjaoporongtom

World Lethwei Championship women’s bantamweight champion Souris Manfredi’s next bout will be in the Thai Fight organization against noted opponent Petchjeeja Lukjaoporonhtom on Nov. 7.

Manfredi exclusively confirmed the Muay Thai contest on the Sept. 27 edition of The Wiseman Report.

“You can count me in on Nov. 7,” Manfredi exclusively said to host Cassie Wiseman. I was supposed to fight before in October, but then we got this offer and the October fight was not confirmed so we said yes, we want to fight this girl. We want to fight in Thai Fight. Last year, we were asking and they said no we don’t do women’s fights anymore. So they called us (this year) a week before and we said yes. It’s amazing.”

Asked by Wiseman why the Thai Fights stopped producing women’s fights, Manfredi chalked it up to the lack of compelling fights.

“The matchmaking was not great at that time and they were not happy with the women’s fights in general, so they stopped it,” Manfredi explained. “Now they started it again.”

Manfredi is making a fairly quick turnaround, as she recently defeated Maisha Katz Aug. 27 for the WLC belt.
