MMA Fighting photographer Esther Lin is moving on to the world of voice acting.
Lin, who has been a photographer at MMA Fighting for approximately 11 years, made the announcement today on her Twitter account, chalking up the move in part to the COVID-19 pandemic currently paralyzing professional sports.
Besides her photography and documentary work, Lin memorably made headlines in 2016 when she and reporter Ariel Helwani were escorted out of UFC 199 and had their media credentials revoked.
After a public uproar, the UFC caved in and restored both of Lin and Helwani’s credentials.
Naturally, the MMA community made sure to wish Lin well in her new endeavour.
Today was Lin’s last day of work at MMA Fighting. It is likely she will update her status on her Twitter account at a later date.
