The country of Spain will be the site of an historic all-female MMA card featuring a DWCS alum and a French submission challenger for the vacant strawweight title.
AFL Valkyries, set for Oct. 10 at the Complex Esportiu Marina Besoms in Barcelona, will feature the country’s biggest MMA promotion putting the first MMA event since the COVID-19 pandemic halted professional sports earlier this year.
The main event pits Micol di Segni (7-3-0), a former Dana White Contender Series participant, against Audrey Kerouche (7-5-0) of France for the vacant strawweight title.
The co-main event has Brazil’s Emily Motta (2-0-0) against Spanish challenger Rita Marrero (2-2-2) for the company’s vacant atomweight title.
More bouts are expected to be announced next week.
