The UFC is back in Las Vegas at the Apex tonight for the last octagon fight of Anderson “The Spider” Silva’s career.
The former UFC middleweight champion who terrorized the division from 2006 to 2012 is in the twilight of his career as he takes a challenger frequently compared to him in terms of potential, TUF finalist Uriah Hall.
Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.
MAIN CARD (7PM ET/4PM PT)
BOBBY GREEN (27-10-1) VS. THIAGO MOISES (13-4-0)
Andrews: Green comes in on a three fight win streak, fighting a southpaw in Moises. Despite some early problems, I think Green finds a way to edge out a decision.
Andrews Prediction: Bobby Green via UD
KEVIN HOLLAND (19-5-0) VS. CHARLIE ONTIVEROS (11-6-0)
Andrews: Holland is always fun to watch and he wins too. Ontiveros is making his debut and have to give the edge to Holland.
Andrews Prediction: Kevin Holland via UD
MAURICE GREENE (9-4-0) VS. GREG HARDY (6-2-0)
Andrews: A tough test for Hardy as Greene will try to take him down, so can he keep the fight standing? I think Greene outsmarts him for the upset.
Andrews Prediction: Maurice Greene via submission
#15 BRYCE MITCHELL (13-0-0) VS. ANDRE FILI (21-7-0)
Andrews: Tough test for Thug Nasty, but he should get the edge, so don’t get touchy about it.
Andrews Prediction: Bryce Mitchell via UD
#10 URIAH HALL (15-9-0) VS. Anderson Silva (34-10-0, 1NC)
Andrews: Hall, if he comes prepared, should be able to outpoint Silva at this stage of his career.
Andrews Prediction: Uriah Hall via UD
