Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor is back.

UFC president Dana White confirmed in the UFC on ESPN+ 41 post-fight press conference that McGregor (22-4-0) will rematch against Dustin Poirier (26-6-0) at UFC 257 on Jan. 23. The venue or location is still being determined.

McGregor’s last UFC bout was a convincing TKO victory over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in January. Prior to that, MCGregor was finished by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in October 2018. Poirier decisioned Dan Hooker at UFC on ESPN 12 in June.

Poirier, 31, will look to atone for his UFC 178 loss to McGregor in September 2017.

UFC 257 is scheduled for Jan. 23 at a venue and location to be determined. Current bouts include:
