Former UFC middleweight Yoel Romero’s deal with Bellator is official.
Following media reports that contained confirmation from Romero’s management, Bellator confirmed the deal earlier today with a simple tweet.

The addition of Romero (13-5-0), 43, a six year UFC veteran and former middleweight title challenger who was released earlier this month, should bolster the Bellator light heavyweight division in 2021.
In the UFC, Romero has weight issues at 185 pounds, leading to losses in four of his last five octagon bouts.
Bellator CEO Scott Coker previously worked with Romero back in 2011 as part of the Strikeforce organization.
An opponent for “The Soldier of God’s” first fight has not yet been named.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
