The LFA has relieved UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich of his color commentating position.

Miletich revealed his firing on Instagram, which occurred after the LFA learned of his participation in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots in Washington D.C.

Five people were killed in the riots, with numerous injuries sustained.

“I just got a call from the folks at the LFA, and they informed me that they were getting a lot of pressure because I was at the Capitol, and I want you guys to know that the people who I walked with at the Capitol, none of them that I know of were involved in any of the violence,” Militech wrote.

“The LFA was getting a lot of pressure, and they felt they needed to distance themselves from me,” Militech said. “I understand their position.”

Miletich put out another video to clarify his position and implore supporters not to criticize the LFA but to support it.

The LFA has not yet officially acknowledged Miletich’s dismissal.
