Former TUF winner and medical cannabis advocate Elias Theodorou is returning to the cage as a fighter and co-promoter on March 13.
‘The Mane Event’ (17-3-0), 32, will be taking on former UFC veteran Matt Dwyer in the main event of Rise FC, which according to the promotion will be Canada’s first contact sports event the Spring of 2020.
The event will be streamed via ImagineBC, a new media company.
Theodorou, last fought  in December 2019, finishing Hernani Perpetuo at PFC 12 in Windsor.
Dwyer (11-7-0), 30, went 1-3-0 in the UFC from 2014 to 2016. He is four-time BFL welterweight champion. The New Westminster native will be looking to shake off a three fight losing skid when he faces The Spartan.
Four other bouts are scheduled for the card. Theodorou answered questions today via Instagram Live about the card and will answer some more tomorrow beginning at 7:20 p.m. EST March 11.
The action will be taking place Saturday March 13 at the Songhee Wellness Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.
