Fabricio Werdum’s quest for justice has been granted by the New Jersey State Athletic Commission (NJSACB).
Werdum’s upset TKO loss to Renan Ferreira at PFL 3 on May 6 has been overturned by the NJSACB to a no-contest after referee Keith Peterson missed a tap by Ferreira after Werdum had him in a triangle choke – armbar position.

According to a story by MMAJunkie, the appeal letter stated the PFL decided not to implement instant replay, which meant a result could not be immediately looked at and overturned.
The decision prompted Werdum to respond via his Instagram account.
The points for the bout were also recalculated with both fighters receiving one point each for the no-contest instead of Ferreira receiving three points for the win and three points for the finish.
The ruling also paves the way for a potential rematch.
