The inspirational story of the Mansourian sisters martial arts journey, told trough the movie Platform, is coming to the silver screen July 9.
Platform, which won Best Feature Discovery at the Raindance Film Festival, tells the story of the Mansourian sisters as they challenge societal gender limits of Iran and train to compete in the Chinese martial art of Wushu.
The 87-minute film stars Shahrbanou Mansourian, Elaheh Mansourian, and Soheila Mansourian, who play themselves. Sahar Mossayebi is the director and the producer is Iranian actress Mahtab Keramati.
Venera Films is the film’s American distribution company.
Platform was filmed in the Persian language of Farsi, but features English subtitles. It premieres July 9 in theatres and virtual cinemas.
