UFC on ESPN 26: Deron Winn pulls out due to separated rib and torn cartilage

UFC middleweight Deron Winn has been scratched from the UFC on ESPN 26 event in Las Vegas.

Winn (7-2-0), 32, revealed on Instagram that a separated rib and torn cartilage prevented him from competing on July 17 against Phil Hawes (11-2-0).

The UFC has not currently confirmed if a replacement will be found for Hawes.

Winn’s last bout was a decision victory over Antonio Arroyo in December 2020.
