Invicta FC 44: Emily Ducote stuns Danielle Taylor to win strawweight title

Company's first pay-per-view considered a success

Invicta FC’s first pay-per-view event produced one of the greatest knockouts in the company’s history.

Emily Ducote (10-6-0) used a lead left head kick to finish Danielle Taylor (11-5-0) at 2:51 of the first round to win the strawweight title. After unsuccessfully contending for the Bellator flyweight championship in 2017, Ducote now has her first big world title.

Taneisha Tennant emerged as the Phoenix Tournament bantamweight division winner, using the clinch to edge Lisa Verzosa with a unanimous decision victory.
