Jake Paul narrowly defeats Tyron Woodley by split-decision

It was close, but Jake Paul took a split-decision win over Tyron Woodley Sunday night in Cleveland.

It wasn’t Paul’s best performance, but he used his reach and jab to keep Woodley at bay early in the fight. Woodley had a moment in the fourth round where he rocked Paul with a left hand sending Paul into the ropes, but it was not scored a knockdown and Woodley was unable to capitalize.

Woodley increased the pressure and tried to increase his volume in the later rounds, but Paul did just enough to convince the judges, who scored it 77-75, 75-77, and 78-74.

Even though Paul did get the victory, it was a much less impressive one than his previous three bouts. The biggest moment of the fight was Woodley’s fourth round and many fans took to social media to voice that Woodley should have won the fight.
