Conor McGregor and Machine Gun Kelly squabble at MTV Video Music Awards

Conor McGregor was at it again, this time at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night in Brooklyn.

Moments after being interviewed on the red carpet, the former UFC champion was involved in an incident with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

McGregor, who was attending the event with his wife Dee Devlin, approached “MGK” to ask for an autograph, according to a report from TMZ. He was refused, and got angry. Machine Gun Kelly apparently pushed McGregor, spilling his drink and knocking over his walking cane. McGregor then tried to throw the remaining contents of his drink before security separated the two.

McGregor’s management team, Paradigm Sports, has not yet publicly commented on the incident. But McGregor did speak on the red carpet with Entertainment Tonight, playing down the incident.

“Absolutely nothing (happened),” McGregor explained to Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t know. I just showed up and I don’t know. I don’t even know the guy to be honest with you. Just rumors. Nothing happened with me. I only fight real fighters. People that actually fight. I certainly don’t fight little Vanilla Ice white rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

Machine Gun Kelly has not yet publicly commented on the incident. He won the Best Alternative Video award for the single “My Ex’s Best Friend” and performed his song “Papercuts” at the event.
