Two of the UFC’s top 5 featherweights, Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez, are set to battle at UFC Fight Night 197.
The UFC confirmed the matchup earlier today on Twitter. it was originally scheduled for July but it was postponed when Holloway pulled out with an injury.
Holloway (22-6-0), 29, is the No. 1 contender and decisioned Calvin Kattar in his last fight at UFC on ABC 1 in January. A win over Rodriguez will likely maintain his heavy favourite status to rematch champion Alexander Volkanovski.

Meanwhile Rodriguez (13-2-0, 1NC), 28, has not fought since decisioning Jeremy Stephens at UFC on ESPN 6 in October 2019. He was suspended for six months by USADA for being unavailable for drug testing.
UFC Fight Night 197 is scheduled for Nov. 13 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Scheduled bouts include:
