Cris Cyborg will return to the Bellator cage to defend her featherweight title in November.
Cyborg (24-2-0, 1NC) will take on Irish opponent Sinead Kavanagh (7-4-0) at Bellator 271 on Nov. 12 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Bellator MMA president Scott Coker revealed the matchup today on The MMA Hour.
Cyborg, 36, defended the title in May at Bellator 259, finishing Leslie Smith in the fifth round. Since losing the UFC featherweight title to Amanda Nunes in December 2018, she has rattled off four straight victories.
Like most Cyborg opponents, Kavanagh comes in as a heavy underdog. She is on a two fight win streak, including a decision over Katharina Lehner last October at Bellator Milan 3. She trained out of the SBG Gym, where Conor McGregor trains, in Ireland.
More fights are expected to be announced closer to the event;
