BKFC 22: Lorenzo Hunt outstrikes Hector Lombard to win cruiserweight title

It was a battle, but Lorenzo Hunt reigned supreme at BKFC 22 Friday night in Miami, Florida.

Lombard, a former Bellator and UFC fighter, was defending his newly won title for the first time since winning it from Joe Riggs at BKFC 18. A brawl ensued in the ring after that event between Lombard and Hunt, which helped set up their title fight.

Hunt (6-1-0) neutralized the punching power of Lombard (3-1-0) over the course of five rounds by using his footwork and range to dart in and out of the pocket, making it difficult for Lombard to connect. Still, Lombard made it close with some rounds in which he did land some big shots.

The judges scored it 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46.
