The UFC is back at The Apex tonight for a bantamweight showdown between No. 4 Rob Font and No. 5 Jose Aldo.

Font has never been closer to a title shot but now for the former featherweight king stands in his way. Can he emerge the victor?

Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card.

MAIN CARD (10PM ET/7PM PT)

ALEX MORONO (20-7-0, 1NC) VS. MICKEY GALL (7-3-0)

UFC on ESPN 31

Andrews: I’m not sure Gall can get the fight to the ground and if he can’t, Morono has the advantage.

Andrews Prediction: Alex Morono via UD

BRENDAN ALLEN (17-4-0) VS. CHRIS CURTIS (27-8-0)

UFC on ESPN 31

Andrews: Curtis is replacing Brad Tavares on short notice. Curtis made an impressive octagon debut in his last fight but he’s taking on a tougher opponent in Allen. But I think Curtis comes through again in another shocker.

Andrews Prediction: Chris Curtis via TKO

CLAY GUIDA (36-21-0) VS. LEONARDO SANTOS (18-4-0)

UFC on ESPN 31

Andrews: Guida can still go. Santos will need to deal with the cardio and constant movement. If he can’t, Guida has the advantage. But I do think Santos eventually catches Guida with something and uses it to eke out the decision.

Andrews Prediction: Leonardo Santos via SD

#13 JIMMY CRUTE (12-2-0) VS. #14 JAMAHAL HILL (8-1-0, 1NC)

UFC on ESPN 31

Andrews: Tough bout to call. Hill is bigger and one good strike by either fighter can end this bout. If Crute can get the fight to the ground, then he can get the tap or the decision. I’ll take the chin of Crute and the mind to figure out a way to get the win.

Andrews Prediction: Jimmy Crute via submission

#12 BRAD RIDDELL (10-1-0) VS. #14 RAFAEL FIZIEV (10-1-0)

Andrews: They are friends but competitors today. Tough bout to call on paper, but I am going with Riddell to avoid the power shots of Fiziev and get the win.

Andrews Prediction: Brad Riddell via UD

MAIN EVENTΒ

#4 ROB FONT (19-4-0) VS. #5 JOSE ALDO (30-7-0)

Andrews: Tough bout for Font. Aldo has been formidable against top competition and if Font comes in unprepared, it will be a loss. But I think Font has prepared and after some early trouble, will eke out the win.

Andrews Prediction: Rob Font via UD
