In a fight that was less than thrilling before, Paul connected on a fight hand disguised as a body shot that floored Woodley, easily forcing the referee to stop the contest give Paul his fifth consecutive victory.

ESPN had Woodley up 39-37 on the scorecards before the sixth round knockout.

It was another disappointing loss for Woodley, who took the rematch on two weeks notice, replacing Tommy Fury. Woodley has a clause guaranteeing him an extra $500,000 USD for a knockout of Paul, but he was unable to collect.
