Invicta FC’s first pay-per-view event of the year has added an atomweight bout that includes a Canadian “Queen of the North.”

American Tabitha “Batgirl” Watkins (3-3-0), 27, will take on Canadian challenger “Queen of the North” Katie Saull (3-5-0), 34, at 105 pounds, Invicta FC confirmed today.

Both fighters need a win badly, each have lost three in a row.

Watkins previously competed most recently in Rizin FF overseas, and then locally at Motor City Cagefights in Detroit, and then Bellator in 2019.

Saull fights out of Ireland’s Straight Blast gym and will be looking to represent her team with a big win.

Invicta FC 45 is scheduled for Jan. 12 in Kansas City. The event will be held behind closed doors to follow COVID-19 protocols.

The fight card is:

Atomweight Title: Alesha Zappitella vs. Jéssica Delboni
Bantamweight: Claire Guthrie vs. Lauren Mueller
Featherweight: Courtney King vs. Ramona Pascual
Bantamweight: Monica Franco vs. Hailey Cowan
Strawweight: Hilarie Rose vs. Emily Whitmire
Bantamweight: Maria Favela vs. Sarah Kleczka
Atomweight: Tabitha Watkins vs. Katie Saull

More fights may be added or modified.
