Former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is available for the UFC’s Feb. 19 event and guess who he would like to rematch.
Dos Anjos (31-13-0), 37, last fought in November 2020, taking a spit-decision over Paul Felder. But the No.6 dos Anjos has split his last four fights, tweeted an invitation to No. 7 Tony Ferguson (25-6-0) for the UFC Fight Night 202 event in February.

Previously in late 2021, dos Anjos has had some Twitter wars with some colleagues, most notably Islam Makhachev. The two had several scheduled bouts pulled when both fighters pulled out with injuries or COVID-19 protocol. But with Makhachev defeating dos Anjos’ replacement Dan Hooker at UFC 267, he has now reached the No. 4 spot in the division and is in the title shot conversation.
A bout with Ferguson, (25-6-0), who last fought in May 2021 and has not looked good in three consecutive defeats, would be a chance to avenge a previous 2016 loss to “El Cucuy.”
But Ferguson may have other plans, judging by his response.
We’ll have to see how this plays out.
