The PFL is looking for an ultimate fighter for its new reality show.
Dubbed the PFL Challenger Series, fighters from around the world will compete for a PFL contract each week that allows them to join the 2022 regular season or a future season. The company claims out of 500 applicants, eight will be selected in total.
The show will premiere Friday Feb. 18 t 9:00 p.m. ET on the Fubo Sports Network.
“The Challenger Series is a first-of-its-kind MMA competition where fighters from all backgrounds and experiences get a shot to prove themselves in front of a panel of combat sports legends and global icons,” PFL president of fighter operations Ray Sefo, said in a press release. “I’m excited to get to Orlando to evaluate these talented athletes who will put it all on the line to live out their dreams of becoming a world champion.”
The light heavyweight division will be the focus of the inaugural show, featuring LFA champion Josh Silveira (7-0-0), German prospect Aexander Poppeck (12-3-0), and South Sudan’s Mohamed Juma (8-2-0).
The show will also feature live interactive games for fans, with wagering opportunities provided by gambling sponsor Fubo Sportsbook.
