The UFC flyweight division will soon receive a major jolt, thanks to the signing of Japanese flyweight Tatsuro Taira.
Taira’s management, the Iridium Sports Agency, announced the signing Friday on social media. He is excepted to debut in the octagon in late April against an opponent to be named shortly.

Taira (10-0-0), 22, is the current Shooto flyweight champion and has an 80 per cent finish rate.
Taira is the fourth Japanese fighter on the current UFC roster. Takashi Sato, Mizuki Inoue, and Kanako Murata are the others.
