UFC 271: “Scheduling conflict” knocks Joe Rogan out of broadcast booth

UFC broadcaster Joe Rogan will not be calling tonight’s UFC 271 card.

According to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, a scheduling conflict has made Rogan unavailable and he will be replaced by Michael Bisping instead, joining Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier in the booth.

Rogan is scheduled to be back at UFC 272 in March.

Controversy around Rogan and his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience continue to swirl with allegations of Rogan’s podcast fostering COVID-19 misinformation, combined with recently leaked footage of past comedy shows using the N-word have forced Rogan and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek to apologize earlier this week.

Neil Young and Joni Mitchell are some of the recording artists who have pulled their music from Spotify over the controversy.
