Invicta FC 46: Daiana Torquato steps in to fight Karina Rodriguez for flyweight title

Once again, the injury bug has struck again, this time at the Invicta FC 46 main event.

Brazilian Kelten Souza has been scratched from her title challenge against champion Karina Rodriguez (9-4-0). Stepping in is Daiana Torquato (10-4-0), who was previously involved in the co-main event bout against Milana Dudieva.

Rodriguez and Torquato previously fought at Invicta FC on AXS last May, with Rodriguez earning a unanimous decision to win the title. Torquato now gets a second consecutive shot at the title against the same opponent.

Former UFC vet and Russian Milana Dudieva (12-8-0) will now take on Brazilian Denise Gomes (4-1-0) who is making her Invicta debut but comes in with four straight wins. Dudieva will try to shake off a 1-5-0 skid in her last six fights with a win.

Invicta FC 46: Rodriguez vs. Torquato 2 is scheduled for Wednesday Mar. 9 at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m PT. The revised card is now:

Flyweight Title: Karina Rodríguez vs. Daiana Torquato

Strawweight: Danielle Taylor vs. Liz Tracy
Flyweight: Kristina Williams vs. Flore Hani
Atomweight: Paulina Granados vs. Monique Adriane
