MMA community rallies to exceed GoFundMe goal for UFC Hall-of-Famer Stephan Bonnar

Over $12,695 USD raised and counting

The MMA community has once again stepped up to UFC Hall-of-Famer Stephan Bonnar’s plight.

A two-alarm fire destroyed Bonnar’s home last Friday in Henderson, Nevada and according to his wife “lost everything.” The fire is still under investigation and there was no indication if there was fire insurance on Bonnar’s home.

As of Saturday, Bonnar said in an Instagram post that the fire continued to stubbornly start back up in the home.

A GoFundMe campaign was set earlier this week on Tuesday and by Friday had already exceeded over half of the $10,000 USD goal. As of Sunday evening and this writing, the amount donated is over $12,500 USD ($12,695 USD exactly).

The amounts continue to pour in. Some notable donations include $4,000 USD by Tyron Woodley, $250 USD by Chael Sonnen, Steve Cantrell with $1,500 USD, and Chuck Zito with $1,000 USD.

Bonnar and Forrest Griffin were inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2013.
