UFC Vegas 51: Luque vs. Muhammad 2 predictions

UFC Vegas 51 will feature a welterweight contender rematch between Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad in the main event in Las Vegas.

Both fighters need a win to stay in the hunt and possibly keep close to the top 5 in the division.

Kenai Andrews checks in with his thoughts on the main card. But first, a word from Dana White.

MAIN CARD (8PM ET/5PM PT)

MOUNIR LAZZEZ (10-2-0) VS. ANGE LOOSA (8-2-0)

UFC Vegas 51

Andrews: Loosa is making his octagon debut. Lazzez should be able to outwork Lazzez.

Andrews Prediction: Mounir Lazzez via UD

PAT SABATINI (16-3-0) VS. T.J. LARAMIE (12-4-0)

UFC Vegas 51

Andrews: Wouldn’t be shocked it Laramie came through, but going with Sabatini to threaten on the ground.

Andrews Prediction: Pat Sabatini via submission

MAYRA BUENO SILVA (7-2-1) VS. WU YANAN (12-4-0)

UFC Vegas 51

Andrews: Both fighters need a win here too, but although Yanan may be a better striker, I think Silva gets the fight to the ground and gets the tap in her bantamweight debut.

Andrews Prediction: Mayra Bueno Silva via submission

MIGUEL BAEZA (10-2-0) VS. ANDRE FIALHO (14-4-0)

UFC Vegas 51

Andrews:  Both guys need a win, but have to go with the UFC experience of Baeza to get back on track.

Andrews Prediction: Miguel Baeza via UD

CAIO BORRALHO (10-1-0) VS. GADHZI OMARGADZHIEV (13-0-0)

Andrews: Two impressive DWCS alum squaring off here. Close fight, but gong with the Brazilian.

Andrews Prediction: Caio Borralho via UD

MAIN EVENT

#5 VICENTE LUQUE (21-7-1) VS. #6 BELAL MUHAMMAD (20-3-0)

Andrews: Luque has the power to finish the fight and if he can keep the fight standing, keep Muhammad at bay. And he is a submission threat on the ground. Muhammad needs to get the fight to the ground, so he’ll be clinching and looking for the takedown. I think Luque overcomes the ground threat.

Andrews Prediction: Vicente Luque via TKO

Enjoy the fights.
