Oscar De La Hoya wants to repair friendship with UFC president Dana White

The bad blood between Oscar De La Hoya and Dana White could be making way for an olive peace branch, courtesy of “The Golden Boy.”

After some back and forth between the two combat sport executive moguls for years, De La Hoya expressed some willingness to forgive and forget in a recent TMZ interview.

“I wanna fix things up with Dana,” De La Hoya said to TMZ. “I criticized the UFC a bit, and I was wrong for it. I would love to patch things up with Dana. And with Mayweather.”

De La Hoya has criticized White on the issue of fighter pay, which generated this response from White on ESPN in December 2018.

There has been no official response from White as of yet to De La Hoya’s recent olive branch. His last response was to accuse De La Hoya of faking COVID-19 when he was set to fight former UFC champion Vitor Belfort in a September 2021 Triller Fight Club boxing match. Evander Holyfield replaced De La Hoya.

Many fans still remember the response to White from De La Hoya.

As Dana likes to say, let’s see what happens with this one.
